SYNOPSIS

Made from archives filmed by the director's grandfather, "Before the Waves" explores the question of the mystery of origins. Beyond the human bodies that gave birth to us - parents, grandparents - the film refers to a larger family, that of the elements and matter in constant transformation that connects us to all the other bodies in the universe.
