A young Caribbean-Canadian woman enters a jazz club, she sits at the bar and listens to the pianist. The music brings back memories of her father, who was a pianist, and of her visits to his apartment to help him when he was frail. The short fiction is based on a composition by Montreal-born jazz legend Oscar Peterson.
