SYNOPSIS

Filmed during a workshop in the Amazon jungle of Peru under the mentorship of Apichatpong Weerasethakul, The Presence of Absence is intended as a farewell letter, but in its journey it becomes an exercise on memory, time, trauma, and lack. Where the encounter with humidity, mosquitoes, the sound of a walkie-talkie, or 2 surveyors, trigger the remembrance and begin the contemplation.
