SYNOPSIS

It's summer and the suburbs of the Greek metropolis of Thessaloniki are threatened by forest fires. Kalliopi rushes through her daily life in the city, constantly worrying about her mother, who is a nursing case and lives in the countryside. After Kalliopi finds an unexpected ally in Mariam, a French woman in her language class, news reaches her that her mother's neighbourhood is being evacuated.
