SYNOPSIS

While a man in present-day Berlin smokes by his window, two barkeepers in 19th Century Gothenburg are waiting for their last customer to leave. He is an old man who recently tried to commit suicide. One of the waiters feels empathy towards the man while the other is anxious to close up and go home.
