SYNOPSIS

LABUTA takes us to Ribeira da Barca, on the island of Santiago - Cape Verde - where, for several generations, the activity of aggregate harvesting was the only source of income. It is up to the women, the caretakers par excellence of this territory, to feed and educate their children and grandchildren and, therefore, it was mainly up to them to extract the sand.
