SYNOPSIS

Centered upon the relationship between collective memory and space, Under the Trees is the story of a journey to the Armenian cultural heritage in southeastern Turkey, tracing the marked rocks dug out of the earth, the treasure hunting anecdotes, and the secret, “hush-hush” narratives told by family elders of Arif who grew up in Ergani, Diyarbakir.
