SYNOPSIS
The remarkable story of husband-and-wife team Eberhard and Donata Helmrich, who saved countless Jews during the Holocaust by devising ever-more daring gambits to save any life they could. The film is narrated by their daughter Cornelia, who was called into her parents’ confidence as a child, and whose family’s story guided her later work as Federal Commissioner for immigrant and refugee issues.
