SYNOPSIS

'Leafcutter' is an allegorical film which depicts an isolation. It considers relationships between urban humans and the natural environment which they simultaneously cut themselves off from and feel emotional need for. The work uses the languages of slow cinema and magic realism to explore these ideas as it follows the activities of two characters of the same name; each is called Leafcutter.
