SYNOPSIS

Belleville is a working class neighborhood of Paris. For the past two years, Nadia has lived there with her teenage son. As part of a charitable organization, she teaches French to Chinese prostitutes. She becomes close with Mei, one of her students who is saving up to bring her sone to France. But one night, Mei is arrested and faces expulsion.
