SYNOPSIS

One of Singapore’s oldest social housing estates runs by a railway which until 2011 was owned by Malaysia, meaning a 10m zone of indeterminate-governance traversed the island, hosting 150 bird species and a fecundity of more than human activities. As land is now being repurposed and residents relocated, we trace encounters that still animate this contested zone, like shadows through leaves
