SYNOPSIS

An unsuccessful French writer and a Chinese college girl meet on a long-distance bus. He's rootless, lives a solitary life and writes mystery novels. As an only child, she struggles to break free from her possessive mother. They are both outsiders, both lonely and lost. Two strangers in a foreign land. They find escape, liberation and connection amidst this cold, snowy day.
