SYNOPSIS

John Salt is eighty-two years old. As a young artist living in 1970's New York, he became famous for his Photorealist paintings. Now, as an old man, he faces the end of his artistic career. In a film shot in the course of a year, as the seasons change from Spring to Winter, we witness his struggle against growing old, and his efforts to finish one final painting.
