JUSTICE FOR MAYA (a three-minute stop motion animation film) uses the image of the Maya bird - Philippines' former national bird - trapped in reed cages as a symbol of the stigmatisation cages that affect the LGBTQ+ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer+) communities in Asian societies. The film explores Mayas' strength to "fight for their rights" and claim to their space.
