This fable is set in the harsh 1880's. When a First Nation woman runs away from an abusive man to protect her newborn child, she crosses path with a hermit performing a nihilistic ritual. After a horrible tragedy, he gave up on society and retreated to the woods. An important character in this story is a beautiful Pinto horse, that may just bring a different colour to the western film genre.
