SYNOPSIS

In October 2017, unprecedented fires raged in northern California. Whole neighborhoods were evacuated. In China, there is an abandoned house whose blackened walls I remember. The house of my ancestors. Has the fire taken place? Between family images and cultural images, I try to bridge the distance that separates me from my origins, constructing a narrative of my identity.
