A tribute to Nomoura Kosabouro, a young Japanese samurai who came to Europe in 1870 (Meiji era) and who was a student of the Lycée Louis le Grand in Paris, where he improved his military capabilities. He fell ill and was treated in Amelie les Bains, where he died in June 1876.
