SYNOPSIS
During the Kosovo War thousands of Albanian women were held hostage by Serbian troops, tortured and forced to witness the execution of their husbands. According to the old law of Kanun war widows in Kosovo are forbidden to remarry, work or lead an independent life outside of their homes.
