SYNOPSIS

The Jerusalem neighborhoods Ras Khamis and Ras Shahada were cut off from the rest of the city when the Separation Barrier was built in 2002. Since then, the residents of the area have been utterly neglected by the Jerusalem municipality. In 2013 the municipality announced its intent to demolish the homes of thousands of residents.
