Neruda says that man is lost if he doesn't fly, because when trapped by magnetic mother earth, he isn't able to understand transparency. To fly up high, to soar down low, to let oneself be carried by the force of gravitation - such flexibility makes us skilled in the transitory. Jubilation, love, allow us to gain access to that state of grace.
