SYNOPSIS

In June 1944, the Soviet troops encircle the 53rd Army Corps of General Gollwitzer near Vitebsk. During one of the battles a stricken Soviet tank is surrounded by the German troops. The situation seems hopeless for the gunner and Naydenov, the wounded mechanic-driver.
