SYNOPSIS

A portrait of poet Manazar Gamboa, who grew up in Chavez Ravine, a Los Angeles barrio forcibly levelled in 1959 to build Dodger Stadium. He writes his hard-edged life - childhood, prison, memories of his barrio, his outreach work - into poetry.
