SYNOPSIS

A woman stands alone at the railing of a passenger liner and gazes into the blue. She remembers an arrival in New York, a young couple's walk through Chinatown, the house boats in Shanghai and the excited children gathering around the obscure picture machine. } }Sounds of distant lands can be heard, while a montage of various memories and people unfolds; memories of people who at some time either left or arrived in Vienna involuntarily.
