SYNOPSIS

Every day for 50 years, Gildo and Luigi Scarpi have crossed the lagoon of Venice to cultivate the land they were granted on the Poveglia island, which used to be home to a hospital but is now deserted. Out of the 64 islands found in the Venice lagoon, over 40 are neglected and slowly fall into ruin.
