BIOGRAPHIE
Sebastian Molina Ruiz, Mexico City 1995. He studied Art History at Universidad Iberoamericana and Cinematography at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC). He was selected to Talents Guadalajara in 2022 edition and Berlinale Talents in 2025. He is currently a DocNomads Alumni in it's 12 edition. His first documentary full length film "Las Hostilidades" premiered at IDFA 2021 and was also official selection at Hot Docs 2022; it also won Best Documentary at the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), and FICUNAM film festival, Premio Rovirosa from Filmoteca Nacional and Work in Progress award at the Los Cabos International Film Festival among other recognitions and selections. His short film "Mátalos a todos," premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2023. And MoMA New Directors New Films in 2024. And his most recent work "A Rosa Nasce Nas Pedras" premiered at Festival de Málaga in Spain and won the best international shortfilm at Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) and premiered at Málaga Film Festival.
