Houssam Hamo

BIOGRAPHIE

Houssam Hamo is a filmmaker and a musician from Aleppo, based in Latakia/ Syria. In 2017, he earned a bachelor's degree in architecture. In 2019, he began his professional career by composing and playing his own music and publish it on his YouTube channel, then he made his first step into motion picture by writing and directing a music video entitled “SIEGE”. in 2021, he made his debut short film which was a musical short film entitled “VOID”, also published on YouTube channel. In 2022, he made his second short film entitled “Hibernate” which was selected for more than 19 different film festivals in Canada, USA, France, Dubai, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan and more, it won three awards including best film and best directing in Oman, Morocco, Bahrain and it was nominated for the Crystal Pine award for best music and best short film in ISFMF – Croatia
