Raquel Agea Ramos

BIOGRAPHIE

Raquel Agea Ramos (Benidorm, 1993). She was educated in the cinema thanks to the theaters in her city, the summer cinemas, the pirated vhs tapes that her father brought and the films that were programmes on the lcoal tv channels. He studied Audiovisual Communication at the University of Murcia and later she did a master's degree in art direction in Madrid. She discovers a cinema that inspires him and in which she feels comfortable: a cinema related to the documentary genre, which allows her to experiment, delve into and reflect on her own memory and that of others. In this line, she made her first short film, "Wounds against oblivion" (2018), which was selected in numerous national and internacional festivals. She recently received a grant from the Murcia City Council to finish her second short film, "This is Raquel's not so secret diary". Apart from working in other fields, she currently combines audiovisual creation and photography with the organizacion of film workshops. Raquel Agea Ramos (Benidorm, 1993). Se educa en el cine gracias a las salas de su ciudad, a los cines de verano, a las cintas vhs pirata que traía su padre y a las películas que programaban en su tele local. Estudió el grado en Comunicación Audiovisual de la Universidad de Murcia y posteriormente hizo un máster en dirección de arte en Madrid. Descubre un cine que le inspira y en el que se siente a gusto: un cine relacionado con el género documental, que le permite experimentar, ahondar y reflexionar sobre la memoria propia y ajena. En esta línea, realiza su primer cortometraje, "Heridas contra el olvido" (2018), que fue seleccionado en numerosos festivales nacionales e internacionales. Recientemente recibió una ayuda del Ayuntamiento de Murcia para finalizar su segundo cortometraje, "Este es el diario no tan secreto de Raquel". A parte de ejercer laboralmente en otros ámbitos, actualmente compagina la creación audiovisual y la fotografía con la organización de talleres de cine.
