BIOGRAPHIE

Canan Cengel (b.1989, Istanbul) is a multifaceted artist and filmmaker currently residing in Berlin. With over twelve years of experience in the creative field, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Photography and Video from Istanbul Bilgi University and holds a Master's degree in Creative Film Production from Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts & Technology, Berlin. Canan's works explore exile, personal narratives, and collective memory through practice-led research and moving images. She weaves together psychogeographical portraits with stream-of-consciousness reflections on diaspora.
