Laura Napier, who sometimes uses the penname L.D., is a writer of screenplays, plays, articles for e- magazines, and children's books. L.D. has written her first novel which takes place during hurricane Katrina. Laura also directs and produces film and theatre for her own work. Laura loves to teach because it encompasses sharing skill, mentorship, conversations and empowering the next generation to be the change. Laura believes students need the skills, confidence, and mindset to know they have the authority to Do. She also learns from her students so that she may Do better. Laura advocates for racial and social justice in any Art form she can. Napier lives and works out of Doylestown with her husband and partner, ever inspired by her daughter Marea Claybourne-Napier, a teenage 10 year old, writer and artist in her own right.
