Baset Zandi (1988, Iran) is a Kurdish novelist, screenwriter and director based in Iran who published his first short novel named "The Times of Cuban Ants" in 2014. He directed his debut short film named "Motherland" in 2019. The film was screened and awarded at several international film festivals.
