Graduated from the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle (ESRA) in 2009, he began a career as DoP assistant (accompanying, among others, Gérard Stérin, AFC, David Ungaro, AFC, Christophe Graillot and Riego Van Wersh) while continuing to light many music videos and short films. Since 2015 he has dedicated himself to the job of Director of Photography. In 2016 is released his first feature film "A Window On The World" (Axel Ohman), shot in New York. In 2017, he co-direct a feature documentary with Robin Buisson, "NØRDMAN". In 2019, with "Heat(s)", Romain begins his collaboration with François Gallou as a director. It is his first co-direction on a fiction-film, for which he also works as DoP. The second chapter "Dès l'aube" is the continuation of a triptych concluded by a third short film "Maureen". The productions of these two shorts are planned for 2022-2023. In 2021, Romain develops and directs "Shores" his first solo film.
