Alexandr Kott

BIOGRAPHIE

Alexandr Kott was born on 22.02.1973 in Moscow, Russia. In 1997 graduated from Andrzej Wajda's course in Krakow and and made his film debut with the short film "Photographer”, which participated at Cannes Film Festival in the student film competition “Cinefondation" (1998). In 1999 he graduated from The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). His graduate work was the short film "Scarecrow” (2000), which won the Grand Prix at Hamburg International Short Film Festival and Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk - Special Award at Berlinale.
