BIOGRAPHIE

French: Jean-Arneau Filtness est né en 1970 à Dublin d’un père irlandais et d’une mère française. Il publie en 1997 aux éditions Ces Lignes son premier roman Comment je suis né (compte à rebours) actuellement au catalogue du Centre Internationale de Poésie à Marseille. Il reçoit en 2001 (après plusieurs expositions en tant qu’artiste-plasticien) une bourse du FIACRE du ministère de la Culture et séjourne six mois à New-York afin d’y étudier la scène artistique contemporaine. De retour en France, il étudie pendant cinq ans la philosophie à Paris8 (où il s’intéresse plus particulièrement à la première philosophie de Wittgenstein, aux limites du langage et à l'expérience esthétique, à la pensée de Gilles Deleuze). Il se consacre aujourd’hui pleinement à la réalisation. ENG: Jean-Arneau Filtness was born in 1970 in Dublin, Ireland, of an Irish father and a French mother. He's living in Paris, France. His first novel was originally published in 1997 by Ces Lignes publishing and the novel is currently part of the Marseille National Poetry Center catalogue. Jean-Arneau Filtness is also a Visual Artist. Following several exhibitions, he won a grant from the FIACRE (French Cultural Minister) and spent 6 months in New-York to study the artistic contemporary scene. Jean-Arneau Filtness studied philosophy for 5 years at Paris 8 University. He was primarily interested in the first philosophy of Wittgenstein, the language limits, the esthetical experience, and Gilles Deleuze’s work.
