BIOGRAPHIE

Kongkea Vann graduated with his degree in film from the department of cinema at the School of Media of Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) in 2016 in Phnom Penh. Shortly after, he has been involved as a camera assistant in certain international projects, such as First They Killed My Father by Angelina Jolie in 2017 and the Australian feature film Buoyancy by Rodd Rathjen in 2019. Ever since, he has been sought after by local production companies as a director of photography on many feature films, short films, and TV commercials. Pursuing his filmmaking dream in directing. Sound of the Night (World Premiere at Locarno Film Festival 2021) has become his first short film as co-director and cinematographer where he could shape his artistic approach further than just in the field of technician.
