Mitchell Waxman

BIOGRAPHIE

Mitch Waxman is a producer and writer-director based in Los Angeles. Mitch recently made his directorial debut with the short film, SOUND OF A WAVE CRASHING, which grew out of friendships formed with the lead actors (and writer) over a year and a half in a Meisner acting method program. Mitch most recently produced the feature films FREAKS, starring Lexy Kolker, Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern which premiered at TIFF (2018) and was released by WellGo USA; and, HIGH VOLTAGE, starring David Arquette, Luke Wilson, Perry Reeves and Allie Gonino which was released by Sony. Among his current projects in development are feature films based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel, MARTIN DRESSLER: The Tale Of An American Dreamer by Steven Millhauser and MIDNIGHT POLO by Rey Rivera, an inspiring drama about an inner-city student athlete who is recruited to an exclusive private school and overcomes tremendous bias to realize her dreams. Mitch got his start in LA working for Academy Award winning writer-director Curtis Hanson (LA CONFIDENTIAL) after interning in NY for Christine Vachon and Pamela Koeffler’s Killer Films.
