Melanie Easton is an emerging writer/director with several short films, music videos and corporate projects under her belt. She previously worked as a Segment Producer on the Australian children’s TV program ‘Totally Wild’, and in various film and television production office roles. She also operates her own Adelaide-based production company, Free Cake Films. Melanie grew up in Canada but spent several years working in the UK and India before permanently settling in South Australia. She has a BA in English and MA in Comparative Literature and South Asian Studies. Aquaphobe is her first funded short film.
