BIOGRAPHIE

Aleksi Herrera Kivinen (Mexico City, 1993) graduated from Centro de Diseño, Cine y Televisión University with the short film Sauna in 2018. Aleksi is currently working as first assistant director in Manuel Abramovic’s latest film “Amor Vaquero” and worked as producer assistant in “Contar el Amor”, now in postproduction. He had the opportunity to be Lucrecia Martel´s personal assistant for two weeks at the Distrital Festival 2018. His first short film Forceps (2015) was selected in the EMIFF (Estado de México International Film Festival) and Domingo Kuri, a short documentary, was shown at the Lebanese Diaspora Energy event in November 2017. Aleksi is son of a Mexican father and a Finnish mother, he has lived in Mexico City his entire life, but traveled to Finland every year. He has both nationalities.
