BIOGRAPHIE

Nino Vincenzo Valpiani was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1996. Having been raised by artistic parents, film has always played a central role in his upbringing. Since finishing high school in 2015, Nino Valpiani continuously increases his experience in the film industry. Initially working as a project manager and copywriter in advertising, he then started working as a freelance photographer and director from 2017 onwards. He also became the resident photographer at the infamous GDR gem Funkhaus Berlin for nearly two years, only to subsequently start focusing on artistic projects solely. A logical consequence of this decision was the co-foundation of the photobook publishing house “sèche editions” in 2020, which focuses both on photographic works of different filmmakers, as well as artistic photography. His 2020 completed short-film RE:MEMBER – the second film in a trilogy about tragic figures in modern society – reflects not only his further advancement as a feature director, but also his personal growth as a human being. Nino Valpiani lives and works in Berlin.
