Having graduated from the University Science of Malaysia with Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies (Film & Broadcasting), LIM Han Loong has pursued a career as a director since 2012. Other than his professional works, Han Loong directed short films that gained recognition in the region including The Way We Love, 2014 (Finalist Astro New Director Award), 1304 KM: Girl from Sumatra, 2016 (Seashorts Film Festival), I Just Want You to Love Me, 2018 (Minikino Film Festival) and Family Dinner, 2020 (Grand Prize mm2 Malaysian Movie Makers Competition). He recently completed a short film, In the Valley and is developing a short film, ITCH (Singapore Objectifs Short Film Incubator Programme) and debut feature film, Maybe Today, If Not Today, Maybe Tomorrow (HK Film Lab, HAF, mylab), which all explore his sentiments towards his hometown. He believes filmmaking is an art of reflecting mundane lives of ordinary people.
