BIOGRAPHIE

LAN Yi-Tzu is a writer and director born in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated with an MFA in Film Production from Florida State University. Female growth has always been Lan's creative focus. Her films depict an individual's self-understanding and growth when going through tough times from a nuanced perspective. In 2016, her first short film, “Fireworks,” received the Busan International Short Film Festival nomination. Kaohsiung Shorts funded her second short film, “Blossom,” which was screened at several film festivals and broadcast on Public Television Service in Taiwan. In 2022, the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development funded her third short film, "The Horse." She is developing her debut feature film project, “The Horse,” at Talents Tokyo, Produire au Sud Taipei Workshop, TAICCA x Ties That Bind Workshop, and TAICCA x Focus Asia 2022.
