Maylana is a Brazilian-Portuguese-British filmmaker currently studying MA Directing Documentary at the National Film and Television School. Maylana is interested in quirky, off-beat stories that blend humour with deeper reflections on the human condition. Influenced by her cross culture and neurodiversity, Maylana embraces spontaneity and a non linear style of filmmaking. By interacting with contributors behind the camera, Maylana aims to create an intimate and playful connection that invites viewers to experience the joy of the unique world and passionate people behind England’s first Crab Museum.
