BIOGRAPHIE

Marina Ledrein vit et travaille en banlieue parisienne. Son travail s’intéresse tout particulièrement aux rôles des institutions sociales et politiques dans la société contemporaine. Il explore la manière dont l’architecture et les modalités d’organisation propres à chaque institution influent sur la circulation de l’information, des corps et des représentations. Elle met en place des protocoles précis : ateliers collaboratifs avec des amateurs, enquête sur le terrain, collecte d’informations, de documents et de témoignages. Entre installations vidéo, enregistrements sonores et éditions papier, son travail peut prendre différentes formes même si elle entretient un lien particulier avec la pratique du dessin depuis l’enfance. Marina Ledrein lives and works in the suburbs of Paris. Her artwork is mainly focused on the roles given to social and political institutions in today's society. It explores in which way the structure and organisation of each institution affects human bodies, their representation and how information spreads. She sets specific protocols : work-groups with amateurs, on-the-field investigations, collections of various information, documents and testimonies. From video installations, films, sound recordings or paper prints, her work can take many forms. She has been working with the Théâtre Louis Aragon and the CENTQUATRE cultural center since 2017.
