Helder Faria (Switzerland, 18 August 1990) is a Portuguese young filmmaker that has always possessed a special affection for the world of filmaking. Determined to continue this path, and followed by an ambition to expand his technical knowledge, Helder Faria entered the 1st cycle degree in Cinema at the University of Beira Interior, Portugal, in order to continue to improve his knowledge. During the three years of training, he collaborated with more than two dozen film projects and promotional exerting mainly in the positions of director, camera operator and Cinematographer. In 2012, Helder Faria participated in two lab competitions: "Aviso 24.2" and in the prestigious Portuguese short films festival named "Curtas Vila do Conde". At the first one, he made the short film "The Picture" that has won the award of best direction and audience award best short. At the festival "Curtas Vila do Conde", with the short film "One last look" he won the category as best film. Concluded his degree in July 2012 with the short film "Arpeggio", where he signed the Story and Direction. This film is currently on film festivals tour. Currently Helder Faria started the master degree in Cinema at the same university and is planning some future projects.
