The Grand Tale of Vesa Manninen Once upon a time, in the oh-so-tiny (but super fancy) town of Raahe, which, by the way, is somewhere on the North West coast of Finland (you might need a map!), a young lad named Vesa Manninen thought, "I want to make movies!" And off he went to the super-duper Turku Academy of Arts. After somehow graduating (we're not asking questions), he dived headfirst into directing. From wild TV commercials that made people drop their popcorn to short films that were, well, short, and music videos that made folks dance in funny ways, Vesa did it all for...wait for it...over TWO WHOLE DECADES! Picture him as an hands-on auteur in a bustling film workshop! He's there behind the camera, penning scripts, slicing and dicing film bits, whipping up catchy tunes, playing around with the set design, and occasionally sprinkling in some VFX fairy dust when the mood strikes. And just when you thought he couldn’t get any cooler, he went and started his own movie-making playground called Jojimbo Film Production Company. Roll credits!
