BIOGRAPHIE

Annick Christiaens studied dramatic art in the Superior Art School of Antwerp and at the Superior Conservatory for Dramatic art of Paris ,before becoming also a scriptwriter and director. She went to the University of PARIS III for cinematographique sciences and was selected for a workshop given by LA FEMIS for scriptwriting. She won the writers palace in Belgium in 2014 with the script of a feature film for teenagers ONLY CHILD She made her first short film ONCE UPON A TIME in may 2017. A movie without dialogues that became FINALIST in the international Festival of MOSCOU and at the British Council festival of CALCUTTA. She made a second short movie in three parts , MARQUET PLACE in 2019. It won the prize of Best Comedy at the ISFF of TORONTO - Best Director at the West European Film Festival - Best Actress at the NYCA of NEWYORK - Best script at the IFF of BARCELONA She was one of the 8 finalists at the International Short Film Festival of Clermont Ferrand encounters of La Maison des scénaristes /CNC/WefFlmgGood with the script of the short movie Denise-Denise She is one of the 9 finalists for the upcoming encounters of La Maison des scénaristes/CNC/WeFilmGood with the script of the feature film A Piece of Cloth at the Festival of Cannes.
