Zam has received multiple awards for his shorts, commercials, and documentaries - including DROPPING OFF MICHAEL, BLACK AND WHITE and LAID OFF and has had numerous retrospectives of his work. His debut feature UP THERE won many honours including Best Director and Best Feature at the British Academy Awards Scotland and top prize at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. He's a BAFTA BREAKTHROUGH BRIT winner, Screen STAR OF TOMORROW and ONE TO WATCH by Moviescope magazine and is currently part of the prestigious BIFA Springboard Initiative. He has a number of feature and TV projects in development - including an adaptation of STRAY by Vicky Allan - and has been commissioned to write projects with the BBC, Channel 4, BFI and Screen Scotland.
